Recommended Comments This small-sized 18k solid gold pocket watch dates from around 1924 (Taisho 13), and was popular in Japan at the time. At the time, it was said that watches with 15 or more jewels were owned by the wealthy, and the 19-jewel movement, along with the 18k case, was considered a high-grade watch. When you open the lid, you can see that the movement and case are one piece, and that it has remained in its original style to this day.
