OXYGEN was founded in the 1950s as a French manufacturer specializing in diver's watches.

In 2003, Eric Dautevuille of CityTime relaunched the company as a new watch manufacturer.

His ancestors, who lived in Switzerland at the time, collected expensive clocks, and Eric grew up surrounded by these precious antique clocks, pocket watches, and jeweled watches, which naturally led him to pursue a career in watchmaking.

Utilizing his experience working for famous brands such as Dior and Louis Vuitton, he embarked on the production of his own "Oxygen" brand to bring a breath of fresh air to the watch industry.

All design and engineering is carried out at the company's headquarters in the Saint-Honoré district of France, and the most important movements are made in Switzerland and Japan, which are trusted worldwide.

Every small part, including the case and crystal, is carefully selected for manufacturing. The company started out with diver's watches, but brought a breath of fresh air to the industry with diver's watches with colorful nylon straps.

In 2016, the company finally launched the "Legend Collection," a collection of new models reminiscent of vintage watches from the 1950s and 1970s, a culmination of past styles. The collection pays homage to the precious antique clocks that people grew up with, including timeless 1970s Bauhaus designs and 1950s motorsport-inspired designs.
