This model combines the popular Napoleon type (half hunter case) with the skeleton type unique to mechanical watches.
Why Napoleon type?
Napoleon I was the last man to win the lottery during the French Revolution, and is also known as a hero. He was so busy that he was said to only get three hours of sleep a night, and he was also known to have had severe tempers.
Even he loved pocket watches. As a soldier, Napoleon loved hunter-case pocket watches with lids. He said that even opening the lid of a watch was a waste of time, so he hollowed out the lid of his pocket watch with a knife, allowing him to see the time even when the watch was closed, which is said to be the origin of the Napoleon type.
This form is also known by other names, such as half hunter and demi hunter.

On a personal note, we registered our marriage in October last year and had our wedding ceremony in April this year.
The watch I purchased was a gift for my husband in return for the ring he had given me, and I had wanted a pocket watch since I was a student, so I chose a matching one (in a different color).
The one my husband chose had to be ordered, so we had to wait for it to arrive, and I was hoping it would arrive in time for the wedding, but it ended up being delivered in February, in time for the preview photoshoot, which was scheduled for March.
And since it was a special occasion, I had the watch photographed as well. I'm not used to wearing it on a daily basis like my wedding ring, so it hasn't yet become a wonderful treasure.

A few days before the damage became severe, a colleague from my company went on a business trip to Kochi. At that time, the amount of rainfall in the mountainous areas had already exceeded the legal limit, so I remember him searching for an unblocked road to get to Kochi. I heard that the situation is still interfering with deliveries. I hope that things will return to normal as soon as possible.
