The history of pocket watches is older than that of wristwatches, with records showing that they were already in use in the 17th century.
Pocket watches were considered luxury items owned only by a small minority of royalty and aristocrats.
Nowadays, wristwatches are used overwhelmingly worldwide, and with the spread of smartphones and mobile phones, there are an increasing number of people who have heard of pocket watches but have never actually seen or used one.

The need for wristwatches began in the 19th century when soldiers during wars fastened leather straps to their wrists to avoid the time-consuming task of taking a pocket watch out of their pockets every time they wanted to check the time.
Then, in the 20th century, clocks became smaller, and full-fledged wristwatches began to become popular, replacing pocket watches.
As a pocket watch specialty store, we wanted everyone to know about the origins of the wristwatch: the leather straps that turned pocket watches into watches, worn on the wrists of soldiers fighting in war.

The more I learned about the history of pocket watches, from pocket watches to wristwatches, the more I wanted to make a pocket watch leather strap. This is a piece of information I received from a manufacturer when we started dealing in pocket watches in earnest. There is a strap with a loop to prevent the pocket watch from falling off. The case that holds the pocket watch is just the right hardness. The large case size, like a pocket watch, gives it a presence not found in other wristwatches, and the leather fits comfortably, making it a leather strap that allows you to enjoy a stylish look that is unique to you. |

When worn by a staff member with a wrist circumference of 16cm, it fit at the smallest size, although this depends on the size of the pocket watch.
The belt has seven holes in total.
The size is suitable for the wrist of an average Japanese man.
It is not impossible for people with wrist circumferences of 16cm or less to use this product, but it will be a little loose.
If you wear size 22cm, it may feel a little tight, but once the leather breaks in it will become the perfect size.

It can fit a small pocket watch, but it rattles around and looks awkward, so I don't recommend it.
We recommend a pocket watch case size between 45mm and 50mm in diameter.
A 50mm diameter, like a Seiko railroad watch, fits best.
Pocket watches with case thicknesses of 8mm or less are not recommended as they will rattle and look awkward. Pocket watches with case thicknesses of 15mm or more may not fit.
Please check the size of your pocket watch before purchasing.
