IWC was founded in Schaffhausen, Switzerland in 1868. It is unusual for a brand to have an English name in a German-speaking country because the founder was American and the brand was named with the intention of releasing its watches in the American market.

IWC is a very expensive purchase for me, so I looked at the pictures many times before making my decision.
When I received it, it was even more beautiful than I had imagined from the pictures.
