The Waldenburger Bahn is the railway that has served Oris's home valley of Waldenburg since 1904 and has been at the heart of its success.

The Waldenburger Bahn (WB) has long been a lifeline for Oris's hometown, the Waldenburg Valley, fostering the region's industrial development and supporting several start-ups in the 19th century.

Oris, like WB, is a brand known for trusted quality and innovation.

Without Waldenburger Bahn, Oris might not exist.

Oris chose Hölstein, a quiet village nestled in the beautiful Waldenburg Valley, because of the Waldenburger Bahn (WB) railway, which ran through the valley and opened in 1880.

The land along this 13km-long line was chosen for the Oris factory.

For over a century, the Oris story has been fuelled by Europe's smallest train, the Waldenburger Bahn.

The Waldenburger Bahn Limited Edition, limited to 1,000 pieces, features chic, subdued colors that evoke the history of the generations of watchmakers who have commuted to Hölstein on this railway since Oris was founded in 1904.

It features a 40mm stainless steel case with a coin-edge bezel, a black dial with luminous Arabic numerals and a railroad-style minute scale, and a domed sapphire crystal.

The Dark Crown strap is made from sustainable deerskin leather from Cervo Volante .

In collaboration with Cervo Volante, a sustainable Swiss deerskin brand, Oris is adding a new collection to its timeless Big Crown Pointer Date series.

In Switzerland, as in Japan, 15,000 wild deer are culled each year as a legal measure to prevent the environmental burden caused by an overpopulation of wild deer.

The brand Cervo Volante makes effective use of this wild deer leather, which would previously have been discarded, by handcrafting leather accessories using only vegetable-derived tannins in an environmentally friendly manner.

The case back is engraved with an early Waldenburger Bahn steam locomotive and the limited edition number – the perfect platform for storytelling.

It comes with a leather travel case, a card case and a cloth printed with a map of Hölstein.
