Oris has announced the Datwat Limited Edition, created in collaboration with the Federal Secretariat for the Wadden Sea, which works to protect the Wadden Sea, the world's largest tidal flats and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

ORIS is a prestigious Swiss brand with a 110-year history that continues to produce only mechanical watches.
The Aquis Date , which is the basis for this DatWatt Limited Edition, has a high level of design that can be used for everyday wear in town, and specifications that make it fully prepared for even the most demanding diving around the world.

This model is based on the Oris Aquis diver's watch and is named after the local name for the Wadden Sea, Datwat. It will be released in a limited edition of 2,009 pieces, commemorating the year the Wadden Sea was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There are no borders in nature
Protecting the global environment leads to a better life for us.
Over the past few decades, Oris has been involved in non-profit conservation efforts around the world, making a real difference to the marine environment, from restoring coral reefs to protecting whales and dolphins.
The latest project is a collaboration with the Federal Secretariat for the Wadden Sea (CWSS), a joint Danish, German and Dutch effort to protect the Wadden Sea.
The Wadden Sea is the world's largest tidal flat and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. It plays an important role in conserving biodiversity on Earth.

Shining Salt
Salt marshes are an essential part of the Wadden Sea ecosystem and a hotspot of biodiversity.
Some creatures cannot survive without the plants that live in salt marshes. 2,300 species of plants and animals live in salt marshes.
Salt marshes are also important stores of CO2, as plants submerged in salt water do not decay and emit less CO2.
Protecting these resources is believed to be effective in mitigating climate change.

The DatWatt Limited Edition II is inspired by the salt marshes of the Wadden Sea, a symbol of change for the better.

30 ATM water resistance is also written as 300m water resistance. It is the performance of a full-fledged diver's watch that can withstand skin diving and scuba diving. It cannot be used for saturation diving.
*Please perform regular maintenance to maintain waterproof performance.

The circular date calendar runs through the center of the dial, and the small second hand is at 9 o'clock.
The watch is also equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel, which is used to measure elapsed time. Running out of oxygen in a tank can be life-threatening during diving. The unidirectional rotating bezel prevents accidental operation underwater, further enhancing safety.

The back of the unit is engraved with an illustration of the Wadden Sea, and there is also a serial number indicating the limited edition.
*You cannot choose the serial number.

The hands and indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova , which glows in the dark and absorbs light. *The image is for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual color.

This special model, limited to 2009 pieces, comes with a blue rubber strap and replacement tools in addition to the stainless steel strap.
This allows you to enjoy fashion more in line with your mood and outfit of the day.

The movement used in this watch is based on the Swiss movement S 220-1, and is finished and processed uniquely by the Oris brand, further improving its precision and functionality.
