Specifications
The iconic Chronoris, characterized by its oval case and dial, is a commemorative collection that linked Oris with motorsport in 1970.
The Chronoris was born from the fusion of Oris and motorsport, and this model marks the first "new Chronoris" since the 1970 and 2005 replicas.
To meet the demands of Oris friends and collectors around the world, Oris worked with designers, engineers and watchmakers to create a "stylish, retro, reinterpretation that is relevant to modern needs." The relaunched Chronoris will not disappoint you.
The new Chronoris Date is a direct reflection of the experimental design trends of the 1970s, with its streamlined case, orange hour markers and multi-tone dial, which are still considered a sporty look today.

The original Chronoris, released in 1970, debuted as a stop-seconds chronograph, its name a portmanteau of "chronograph" and "Oris."
The streamlined case was in line with the trends of the time and housed Oris's first in-house developed chronograph calibre. The orange seconds track ran around three-quarters of the dial's circumference, and the central seconds hand gave it a bold, racing style.
This marked Oris's first foray into motorsport watches, marking the beginning of a rich tradition that continues to this day.
The greatest feature of this Chronoris is the timer function with the inner rotating bezel. By turning the crown (screw-down) at 4 o'clock and aligning the orange triangle with the desired time, you can easily measure the elapsed time.

For example, if your work break is one hour, when you take your break at 12 o'clock, align the minute hand with the triangle mark. Then, just by looking at the dial, you can see at a glance how much time is left and how much time has passed.
Of course, it can be used not only as a minute hand, but also as a second hand and hour hand, so it has a variety of uses. It has a more analog feel than a chronograph, and is a function that is perfect for this retro watch.
A unique case and a simple, minimalist dial. A versatile design that can be worn for both business and leisure! The model in the photo has a wrist circumference of 18.5cm, but the case size is not too large at 39mm, so it is also recommended for those with smaller wrists.
