Specifications

This cushion-case wristwatch is a pilot's watch called Majetec, which was commissioned by the Czechoslovakian military between 1935 and 1945 to be manufactured by the three major watch manufacturers of the time (Longines, Eterna, and Lemania).
In particular, Longines' first watch, known as the "Big Turtle," is considered a masterpiece of a pilot's watch, rugged yet highly decorative. This well-balanced design has been faithfully reproduced in an easy-to-use design. The triangular pointer linked to the bezel can be moved freely to measure elapsed time.

The reason why this watch is said to be a highly designed pilot's watch is that the highly decorative rotating coin bezel, cobra hands, and rugged large cushions may seem contradictory at first glance, but the unique Y-shaped lugs create a beautiful overall balance.
The case back is a faithful reproduction of the original, secured with screws at the top and bottom. The crossed swords on the top right of the case represent military property, and it is said that the swords were engraved to commemorate the bravery of the pilots who served in the Royal Air Force and fought to reclaim their homeland after it was occupied by German forces.

A watch worn by soldiers on the battlefield.
Pocket watches were originally used, but towards the end of the 19th century, a German soldier began wearing one on his wrist, making it more convenient, and pocket watches became popular on the battlefield.
Pocket watches had the disadvantage of requiring one hand to be occupied when wearing them, so the idea of wearing it on the wrist was simple yet revolutionary.
There are records that show that around 1880, German Emperor Wilhelm I had wristwatches manufactured for the German Navy.
There are now many different designs of wristwatches, but their roots lie in military watches (watches worn by soldiers).
Today, it is loved by military fans around the world not only for its history, but also for its rugged, minimalist, masculine design and easy-to-use functionality.
