MRMW (Montre Roroi Military Watch) TYPE A-17 Vintage Wristwatch

The watch is a Waltham reproduction of the Type A-17 pilot navigation watch, an improved version of the Type-16, which was issued from the 1950s onwards.

During this period, advances in aircraft allowed the appearance of all-weather fighter planes that could fly at night or in the rain, and so the need for a 24-hour display on the dial of a pilot's watch arose. The hours from 13 to 24 were printed inside the hour markers from 1 to 12.

The luminous indexes from that time have turned orange-brown due to aging, and are also peeling in places. This brings out a nice vintage feel, and we have put a lot of effort into recreating it.

There are records that show that around 1880, German Emperor Wilhelm I had wristwatches manufactured for the German Navy.

There are now many different designs of wristwatches, but their roots lie in military watches (watches worn by soldiers).

Today, it is loved by military fans around the world not only for its history, but also for its rugged, minimalist, masculine design and easy-to-use functionality.
