Specifications
During the Showa era of the Japanese National Railways, the 19SEIKO was a favorite among railway workers for its high precision.
During his time at Seikosha, founder Kintaro Hattori developed the 19th Seiko, a watch with high precision that could rival the foreign-made watches that were in use at the time.
This watch continued to evolve through small, repeated minor changes until 1971.
Seiko pocket watches were popular as Japan's leading "working watches."
It has a history of being used not only on railways but also during wartime, such as in the cockpit of a Zero fighter.
Beautiful Côtes de Genève finish on the movement.
The engraving on the back reads "Showa 37 1336 JNR."
It is stamped with the "Discarded" mark, which is proof that it has been disposed of correctly.

It was made in 1962, meaning it was my "classmate." Also, it was made by the Japanese National Railways.

A railway clock used in the 1960s.
It is also highly accurate, with an error of just a few seconds even after a week of operation. I admire the quality of its maintenance.

■ What made you decide to purchase?
Recently I've become interested in train travel and wanted a railway clock to use when I'm on the train or as a table clock at home, so I was thinking of buying the current Seiko quartz type.
However, I was introduced to the 19 Seiko at a pocket watch exhibition, and since I've always loved mechanical watches, I decided to buy it.
There was a defect when it was delivered, but it was repaired quickly and I'm using it without any problems. Thank you very much. I like the 5-vibration sound.
I have a feeling I'll be hooked on the 19 Seiko from now on.

I received a thank you email from your store, but although I purchased it at an exhibition in Osaka, the email stated that it was from a "pocket watch exhibition held in Akihabara, Tokyo." I hope that this will be corrected in the future.
