This solar-powered chronograph model utilizes sunlight to create a maintenance-free, long-life battery. The semi-transparent dial captures sunlight directly into the movement's solar cells, allowing for everyday use without the need for special charging.

A fully charged watch will run for up to 5 months in the dark.

The "Expedition South Pole" collection features a 43mm stainless steel case (black PVD finish) designed for a variety of outdoor activities, both indoors and outdoors. The approximately 43mm case fits comfortably on Japanese wrists and can withstand pressures of up to 20 bar.

This model comes with a special "Polar Irradiance" scale that shows the number of hours of sunshine per day across the Arctic seasons. This feature increases awareness of environmental conditions in regions where sunshine hours vary greatly throughout the year.
