Kentex JASDF 8th Squadron F-2 Model Watch S715M-13 Limited to 326 pieces

KENTEX is a Japanese watch manufacturer founded in 1989.

Since 2001, KENTEX has always respected the Self-Defense Forces, an organization that does not invade other countries, protects Japan's peace and security, and adheres to the discipline of "exclusively defensive defense," and has released Self-Defense Force models as part of the JASDF series.

This time, we focused on the 8th Squadron, which celebrated its 60th anniversary by upgrading from the F-4EJ Kai to the F-2, and released a model of the aircraft operated by the 8th Squadron.

The unit's mark is a black panther, which is said to be a reference to the call sign "Panther" once used by the squadron.

The inner ring of the dial at 2 o'clock and on the crown feature the aircraft type number "F-2," while the hour and minute hands are designed to resemble the cockpit of an F-2. The second hand also features an F-2 aircraft.

By changing the color of the inner ring and dial, the two-tone blue of the F-2 aircraft is reproduced. The aircraft type number "F-2" is also engraved on the inner ring of the dial at the 2 o'clock position and on the crown, showing the attention to detail.

The case back is engraved with "BLACK PANTHERS" along with an F-2 aircraft and the unit's black panther insignia. The limited edition of 326 pieces is also engraved with a serial number commemorating the date of the 8th Squadron's model upgrade to the F-2 on March 26th.

The JSDF watch is the only product in Japan registered under the Ministry of Defense Mutual Aid Association Headquarters contract. It uses J-Solar (Japanese solar) technology, which allows the watch to continue running for six months even in complete darkness when fully charged.
