When it comes to hand-wound movements for Swiss pocket watches, the masterpiece caliber, Unitas, developed by Auguste Raymond, comes to mind.
The fundamental structure dates back to the 1930s, and it is a long-selling movement that has been produced almost without any changes to its specifications since its introduction in 1968 to the present day.
Because it is designed for pocket watches, even the base plate itself is large in size, and it is well known that it was used by Panerai in the past.
By the way, if the model number has a "-1" at the end, it has a low beat of 18,000 vibrations per hour, the same as an antique watch, while if it has a "-2" it has a different specification of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
The "-2" has a longer power reserve and is a custom model that was created later. It is often used in wristwatches, but the Seibido 50th Anniversary Model with a Swiss movement deliberately uses the "-1."
The reason is that we want you to enjoy the low beat sound that is characteristic of time-honored watches through your ears. Regardless of the length of the power reserve, we recommend winding the mainspring of a manual winding watch once a day, as close to the same time as possible.
