The REC The 901 Auto Collection is heavily inspired by the soft corners, shapes and iconic form of every Porsche 911, as expressed in the oval case and round dial design of the watch itself.
The dial of this The901 Auto Collection watch is made from genuine classic Porsche materials, and the movement is Miyota 9100, which displays the date, month, and day of the week, as well as a 40-hour power reserve.

The dials are made from handcrafted Porsche 911 bodywork, all produced between 1963 and 1989. By scanning the STORY CARD (NFC and QR compatible) included with the watch, you can watch a documentary video depicting the story of the Porsche 911 used in the watch and its individual bodywork. |
The case has a mirrored and brushed finish in some areas, and its shape is strongly influenced by the iconic soft curves and distinctive rear air grille of the Porsche 911.
The vehicle identification number and the year of manufacture of the actual vehicle are engraved on the side of the case at 9 o'clock.
The back of the watch is a see-through case back that allows you to see the movement. It is designed to resemble a Porsche wheel.

The biggest feature that sets this watch apart from other watches is that it uses the body of a car as the dial. This 901 series watch uses the actual body of a Porsche 911.
By scanning the STORY CARD that comes with the watch, you can see the appearance of the material used in the watch "before it became a watch."
Porsche originally planned to use the number 901 on its cars, but because Peugeot had registered the trademark first, it was changed to 911. This name was retained on the watches, and they were developed as part of the 901 series.
The case back is designed to resemble a wheel, and the rotor that rotates inside is designed to resemble a brake disc. No two watches are the same, and this watch retains the remnants of a classic car.
