The long-awaited reissue model "Strela," the watch used in mankind's first successful spacewalk (extravehicular activity), is now available in Japan for the first time!
On March 18, 1965, cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Pavel Belyaev launched into space aboard the spacecraft VOSKHOD-2.
Wearing the best flight chronograph of the Soviet era, they successfully performed the first human spacewalk (extravehicular activity). The legendary watch, which kept time for approximately 20 minutes, was named "STRELA" and was a historic masterpiece produced mainly as a military aviation watch, and was only permitted to be worn by air force officers.
Featuring a simple face that allows instant checking of the time, and a robust construction that can withstand any test, the watch boasts a meticulous design that allows for smooth extravehicular activity in zero-gravity space, where time is a constant race against the clock.

The long-awaited reproduction model is finally here!
The new chronograph "STRELA," which has been revived in modern times while retaining the functions and design of an actual flight chronograph, will now be released in Japan.
The understated 44mm case features lugs that fit snugly on the wrist, and the crown, which is integrated with the case, is designed to be unobtrusive and easy to wind.

The OPEN SPACE series STRELA model is based on the first human spacewalk, when Alexei Leonov performed the first spacewalk from Vostok 2 on March 18, 1965.
It was STRELA that measured the spacewalk, which lasted just 20 minutes.
* At that time, he was wearing a chronograph.

It is luminous so you can check the time even in dark places.
The photo was taken in the dark with the light fully charged.

Four years had passed since Yuri Gagarin became the first man to perform a spacewalk, and on March 18, 1965, cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Pavel Belyaev boarded the spacecraft VOSKHOD-2 and successfully performed the first spacewalk (extravehicular activity) in human history.
The Strela was the best flight chronograph from the Soviet era and was worn during the approximately 20-minute spacewalk.
This practical chronograph with two counters and equipped with a tachymeter and telemeter has been revived as a Seiko automatic chronograph, rather than a Soviet-made movement.
The back is a see-through case back, allowing you to enjoy watching the automatic chronograph movement in action .
