It has a simple structure and is made up of the same parts as the top-grade Unitas 6497, which has been in production since the 1960s, making it a caliber that can be used for many years with repeated maintenance.

This is a hand-wound watch that has no typical "brand logo" on the dial, giving it a rugged look.

The dial and hands are coated with Luminova, which has the practical function of emitting light in bright places such as sunlight or fluorescent lights, and emitting light in the dark.

The hands are made of blued steel, which is not painted but rather carefully baked at low temperatures. This gives the hands a deeper color than painted ones, and is a highly sought-after part used in high-end models today.
