Specifications

Laco's signature pilot watch, the "Dortmund" manual-winding pilot watch from the Laco 01 series, has been supporting the German military since the 1940s.

In the 1930s, the brand's movements, manufactured with solid technical expertise, became popular and gradually spread its name. When World War II broke out in the 1940s, a pilot's watch equipped with a highly accurate movement was officially adopted as a navigation watch for the German Air Force, marking the brand's entry into the world of full-fledged military watches.

The design features large minute and second displays and a small hour display, and the clever placement and large indexes ensure good visibility.
The large onion-shaped crown is designed to allow pilots to operate it without removing their thick gloves.

The side of the case is engraved with the then-classified symbol "FL23883" indicating a navigational instrument.

Dark brown calf leather belt with stitching and brand logo on the buckle.

The movements used in Laco watches have been improved in accuracy and precision at the Laco factory in Germany.
The case back is engraved with the words "Beobachtungsuhr," which means "observation watch."

It is a watch with no frills and is by no means flashy, but it is a watch with a lot of attention to detail, as it faithfully reproduces the design of the time.
This is a watch you'll want to wear with your discerning casual outfit. Its simple design also goes well with a suit.

The retro face is incredibly cool!
The pilot's watch is synonymous with Laco's history. Germany is known worldwide for its meticulous, simple, and sturdy craftsmanship. Laco is one of Germany's oldest watch brands, having been making watches since the 1920s. This hand-wound pilot watch has no unnecessary decorations and is the perfect example of a classic military watch. Since hand-wound watches stop running if they are not wound by hand, you develop a different kind of attachment to them than you would with a quartz watch. For those who like mechanical watches, we recommend Laco watches, which have a simple face and can be worn with both suits and everyday wear. |
