This string was used in Wajima lacquerware, a type of lacquerware made in Wajima, Ishikawa Prefecture.

Due to the impact of the major earthquake that occurred in January 2024, most Wajima lacquerware production in Ishikawa Prefecture was halted.

As a result, the string that was originally intended to be used with Wajima lacquerware ended up coming to our store as a pocket watch string.
