A tribute to the former Soviet military aircraft known as the "Caspian Sea Monster." VOSTOK EUROPE EKRANOPLAN
The ekranoplan is a wing-in-ground-effect aircraft (WIG) originally developed in the Soviet Union.
This aircraft flies at an extremely low altitude, about the same width as the aircraft, over smooth ground or water surfaces, and utilizes the resulting "ground effect" to achieve both high speed and mass transportation.
The ekranoplan, nicknamed the "Caspian Sea Monster," was undetectable by conventional airborne radar and could carry armored vehicles and hundreds of combat personnel across the water at the speed of a passenger plane. Until the arrival of the large transport plane "Mriya" in 1988, it was the largest aircraft of its time.
The VOSTOK EUROPE Ekranoplan is a series of quartz wristwatches inspired by this aircraft.
A chronograph model with a center chronograph 60-second hand , small seconds at 3 o'clock, and a 60-minute counter at 9 o'clock.
The large, black PVD-coated stainless steel case, measuring 47mm in diameter and 16mm thick, makes a striking statement.
It is equipped with a date calendar at the 3 o'clock position, making it convenient for everyday use as well as business.
It is equipped with a trigger light system that incorporates a tritium light developed by mb-microtec into a glass tube and continues to emit light day or night for approximately 10 years.
*To make it easier to understand, we use a black light to photograph the tritium so that it stands out. Colors may appear different on different monitors, so please consider the actual brightness to be slightly subdued compared to the image.
The crystal is made of K-1 crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
The unidirectional rotating bezel used to measure elapsed time is designed to rotate in only one direction, preventing accidental operation underwater and further increasing diver safety.

The sides of the crown and bezel are decorated with a lattice pattern to prevent slipping.
The back cover is a screw-down back that protects the movement from water damage.
It is waterproof to 200M (20 atmospheres) , so you can wear it while swimming and even in sudden rain.

The case back is engraved with an illustration of the largest Ekranoplan KM (Kalabri Macchiato) in existence, along with the serial number.
