This clock was inspired by the giant clock held up by Atlas, a Greek giant, in the entrance to Tiffany's flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.
Tiffany's sterling silver (solid silver) has a very long history.
In 1851, Tiffany was the first American company to establish a standard of 925/1000 purity for its silver.
This standard was later adopted as the official purity standard in the United States and is still widely recognized worldwide.
