Aéro was founded in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 1942 by Maxime Clevaget, who inherited the techniques and traditions of the Clevaget family, a family of first-class watchmakers. Currently, the company is run by his second son, Georges, and is headed by Denis Borzli, a veteran in the field. Aéro is one of the few Swiss manufacturers specializing in luxury pocket watches.

Its distinctive features are the warmth of handcrafting, achieved through the ancient European "hammering techniques" inherited from our predecessors and the excellent "carving techniques" of top-class craftsmen.

In Japan, it has been loved by many people for over 30 years as a masterpiece with a wide variety of variations that can only be achieved by a specialized manufacturer, the precise mechanism that can only be achieved by a handmade manufacturer, and a beautiful form that exudes nostalgia.
