The "Gagarin Anniversary Series" from Sturmanskie, the legendary watch that was the first in human history to fly into space with Gagarin.

The movement used is the hand-wound "Caliber 2609."
This movement was developed during the Soviet era, and only a small number of them remain. It is so rare that it is said to be used up within a few years.
In recent years, the worldwide popularity of the Sturmansky has accelerated the decline of the 2609 movement, and it is no longer used in the regular Gagarin Anniversary series. Going forward, it will only be used in the higher-end models of the series.
Be sure to experience the charm of this rare hand-wound movement while you can.

The watch body has a slight curve, and is designed to fit naturally on the wrist for a soft, comfortable fit.
This moderate thickness is what gives the watch the feel of a timepiece from a bygone era, further enhancing its vintage feel.
In addition, the design makes the watch appear thinner, making the dial easier to read and more legible.
Gagarin's most famous words are, "The Earth was blue" and "There was no God," which he said as he looked at the Earth from the outside during his 108-minute space flight.
He always remained positive and smiling no matter the situation, and as he set off into space carrying the expectations of the entire world, he was truly worthy of being called a Russian hero.

The young pilot Gagarin, representing the Soviet Union, joined the space program at just 27 years old, in what was mankind's first manned space flight.
Gagarin boarded the spacecraft Vostok 3KA-2, known for its cramped interior, and set off into space, a place no human had ever reached before.
At that historic moment, the watch that accompanied him on his bold mission was the "Shturmanski," manufactured by the First Moscow Watch Factory. It remains famous today as the world's first watch to fly into space.
The green Super-LumiNova finish provides excellent visibility even in the dark.

The indexes and hands are coated with luminous paint, which makes them glow green in the dark, making it convenient to check the time even in dark places like when you get home in the evening or at the movie theater.

The serial number is engraved on the back of the unit. *You cannot choose the number.

The watch will be delivered with a special box, warranty card, and instruction manual. Seibido Watch Shop is an authorized dealer of Sturmanski watches.
