SPYTNIK, the world's first unmanned artificial satellite

Sputnik 1, the world's first unmanned artificial satellite, was launched by the former Soviet Union in 1957.

In Russian, "Sputnik" means "something attached to it," which has come to mean "satellite" or "artificial satellite."

The successful launch of Sputnik not only encouraged the Soviet people and marked a major scientific and technological achievement, but also shocked the American people, their Cold War opponent, and influenced the political situation during the Cold War, including the start of the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union.

A Russian watch that pays homage to Sputnik, the world's first artificial satellite!

A watch series inspired by Sputnik, the world's first artificial satellite developed by the former Soviet Union, which sparked the start of the space race.

It beautifully recreates the atmosphere of the original Sputnik from 1959, and you can enjoy the dial design reminiscent of an artificial satellite and the slow, low beat of the manual winding mechanism.

Not only does it have a classic look, it also uses the Soviet-era manual winding movement POLJOT 2609. While no longer in production and unlikely to be produced again in the future, the POLJOT 2609 movement is legendary as the movement worn by Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space.

Please enjoy this watch that is filled with the charm of Russia.
