In 1965, Alexei Leonov boarded the Voskhod 2 spacecraft, commanded by Pavel Baryakov (who was wearing this 24-hour watch). On March 18th, under Pavel's command, Leonov successfully completed the first spacewalk in human history. This model was created as a replica of the 24-hour watch used by Commander Pavel.

Alexei Leonov of the former Soviet Union became the first man to successfully perform an extravehicular activity (spacewalk) on March 18, 1965.
However, before this great achievement came a major problem. When Leonov returned to Voskhod 2 after completing a spacewalk, the pressure inside his spacesuit rose too much, preventing him from returning through the airlock. He made a quick decision and opened the pressure valve, preventing any further damage. Leonov and Baryakov, who were aboard Voskhod 2, were promoted to lieutenant colonel and awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, the nation's highest honor.
The legendary 24-hour watch worn by cosmonaut Pavel Baryakov upon returning to Earth after a dangerous mission is the inspiration for this model.

This 24-hour watch is unique to military pilots, allowing you to read the time even in outer space, where there is no day or night. Russia is also known for its white nights, when the sun never sets. This 24-hour watch embodies the history and culture of Russia.

The back of the Space Pioneer Collection watch features a depiction of Voskhod 2, the Soviet manned spacecraft carrying cosmonauts Leonov and Belyayev. Although Voskhod 2 faced various problems, it is also a memorable spacecraft that oversaw the world's first spacewalk.

The retro and subdued design of the Pavel Baryakov model 24-hour watch from STRUMANSKIE is recommended for suits and jacket styles.

Classic and simple design
The watch we are introducing this time, from the Russian watch brand SHTRUMANSKIE, is a replica model of the watch worn by Pavel, the commander of the former Soviet Union, when Alexei Leonov successfully completed the first spacewalk in human history on March 18, 1965.
The grey PVD coating also gives the watch a unique look that is unlike any other.
The simple, retro design goes well with military attire.
