History of the EPOS brand

The dream and passion of Montres Epos founder Peter Hofer for mechanical watches was born in the mid-1970s, during the heyday of quartz watches, and was realized in 1984 when he founded Montres Epos SA, a company specializing in the manufacture of mechanical watches, in Bienne, the center of the Swiss watch industry.

He approaches watchmaking from historical and artistic perspectives, and by following the techniques and traditions of Swiss watchmaking that have been cultivated over many years, he studies history and combines it with modern technology to create a new type of classical watch philosophy.

In recent years, "EPOS" has become a secret craze among watch enthusiasts, likely because the traditional techniques of the selected artisans that live on in the EPOS collection evoke the golden age of the Swiss watch industry.
