About Sturmansky

The famous line "The Earth was blue" is so well known

Gagarin's most famous words include "The Earth was blue" and "There was no God," which he said about the Earth he saw from the outside during his 108-minute space flight.

Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin
Born in Moscow on March 9, 1934 - March 27, 1968, Gagarin grew up in the midst of World War II and, influenced by his childhood teacher, became interested in becoming a pilot. In 1955, he entered the Air Force Academy in Orenburg.

Space development began in earnest in the Soviet Union in the 1960s, and Gagarin underwent rigorous training. The spacecraft was very small, and Gagarin, who was only 158 cm tall, was selected as a crew member.

On April 12, 1961, Gagarin became the first human to leave the atmosphere aboard the Vostok 3KA-2 spacecraft. After returning to Earth, he died suddenly in an accident on March 27, 1968, bringing an end to his short life of just 34 years.

Sturmansky watches from Russia have revived the Gagarin model, which is known for famous quotes such as "The Earth was blue."

The first manned space flight in human history. The young pilot Gagarin represented the Soviet Union and joined the space program at the age of 27.

They board the Vostok 3KA-2, a spacecraft said to be cramped, and set off into space, a place where humans have never reached before.

The watch that took on this daring mission with Gagarin, unprecedented in human history, was the "Shturmansky" watch, manufactured by the First Moscow Watch Factory.
It was the world's first wristwatch to be launched into space.

The Sturmanski worn by Gagarin
After about 40 years, it was re-released in 2001.

This is the same model as the current one, and it is well known that in October 2004, Russian cosmonaut Yuri Shagin wore this Gagarin model when he traveled into space.

The fact that this watch was worn almost half a century later, as if history were repeating itself,
This is proof that Sturmanski is recognized worldwide as a Cosmo watch.
