Engraving Scenery Tour
There were many important "patterns" for engraving. We traced these patterns to engrave. As you can see in the image below, it was possible to engrave almost all kanji characters.
There were also many other family crests and alphanumeric characters.
When I asked, "What about molds that aren't available here?", I got a simple answer: "We'll make them."

| For large-volume engraving, we sometimes use a computer, but we still engrave each piece by hand. The engraving requires experience and years of "feel," as the slight adjustments of the left hand can make the engraving deeper or shallower.
Nowadays, the number of businesses that engrave by hand is gradually decreasing. As a craftsman with a long history, he can engrave on the side of the case, or on the slightly slanted areas around the case of a mechanical watch (skeleton back). Difficult areas can only be done by hand, and only a skilled craftsman can do this. When engraving, he pays attention to the appearance and overall balance. I engrave the letters myself, taking into consideration the original manufacturer's markings and balancing them by reducing or enlarging the letters. |
