We are Shobido, a watch, eyeglass and jewelry store located on Obiya-cho, the main street of Kochi City.
Our store is not a big one, and we do not have many employees.
It's a tiny, tiny, really tiny shop.

However, we value "conversation" and "relationship of trust" with our customers,

Although we are not flashy, we value reliable technology... My name is Kawamura Kazuei, a first-class watchmaker and the representative director of Shobido.

I have been a watchmaker for over 50 years, and although it is not a glamorous profession, I work hard to gain the trust of my customers.

My motto is "Technology and Trust." I am not particularly friendly when answering the phone. I am a behind-the-scenes person. If it's about watches, leave it to us. I will handle it responsibly.

While reading books on watch technology, he became interested in watch technology and was assigned to the watch technology department of Kawamura Watch Shop in Obiya-cho, Kochi City.
August 1965
Vocational training instructor license Obtained a license to train watch apprentices under the Employment Training Act (Act No. 133 of 1958, Article 22, Paragraph 3, which grants licenses to vocational training instructors for watchmakers).
December 1965
Skill Award: He was the only person in Kochi Prefecture to receive an award at the first-class watchmaking technician seminar, given by the chairman of the Kochi Prefecture Watch, Metal and Eyeglasses Traders Association, for his particularly outstanding results at the national watchmaker skills certification seminar held by the association.
May 1966
Obtained first-class watch repair technician certification
November 1987
He received a certificate of commendation from the mayor of Kochi City at the time (Mr. Tatsuo Yokoyama) for his many years of outstanding skills and contributions to the development and improvement of the society and economy.

My name is Noriko Kawamura, and I work as a salesperson at Shobido.

The couple has been working together since 1969.

My motto is to stay healthy every day so that my customers can leave with a smile on their face.

She is not far behind her daughter and is proud of her cheerful voice and smile. Please feel free to call us. We also offer on-site sales to customers in Kochi Prefecture and Shikoku.
